Becka’s Bakeshop: Slowly Baking its way to Finish Line

Becka’s Bakeshop and I are currently in a slow-and-steady relationship. :joy:

I’ve been having some health issues lately, so crafting hasn’t been happening as much as I would like. On workdays, if I can squeeze in one or two hours at my miniature table, I consider that a major achievement. Some days, even my glue is probably wondering, “Are we working today or not?”

But you know what? I’m learning to be okay with slow progress.

I may not be building for hours like I used to, but every little piece I finish still counts. One wall today, a tiny detail tomorrow, maybe a few more pieces when my energy cooperates. :joy:

And before I know it, this little bakeshop will eventually be finished.

So here are a few photos of my work-in-progress Becka’s Bakeshop. It may be moving at snail speed, but hey… the snail is still moving! :snail::house::two_hearts:

Crafting doesn’t always have to be about finishing quickly. Sometimes, it’s simply about finding a little time for something that makes you happy.

Slow progress is still progress—and right now, I’ll happily take it.

Work. Rest. Craft. Repeat… whenever my body allows it.

We always appreciate you as well. Heath issues are never fun. At 62, I deal with them daily…and my latest has really taken a toll…on my work abilities especially.

You’re exactly right you go at your own pace. There is no timeline just do it when you need to or when you can. Best of luck I hope your health gets better and your energy gets going better.

Well I hope that snail is the one from the Neverending Story…the racing snail.

But you are quite right, slow and steady wins the race, especially when your health is a concern. I hope you are okay.

You are so correct, sometimes there’s just not enough time to craft, but rest is more important  slow progress is still great

Going at your own pace is the best way! What matters isn’t finishing it, but enjoying the process. Hope you feel better soon too!
