It’s a Rowood kit, so I don’t know whether it still counts. But this is the flower I worked on when my sweet dog got sick this year.
It was horrible. I couldn’t protect him. I couldn’t do anything to help him. All I could do was wait.
I had this pink rose kit waiting for me, so I started working on it to distract myself from feeling so sick and helpless. This flower was something I could actually do something about, and a splash of something good during a really hard time.
I see that many of us have a similar story about taking comfort in these kits when we lose our pets. That says something special about the kits, too, I think.
Here’s to many more memorable builds and creative escapes!
