This was probably my most challenging kit. This does not mean that any of you could not build it! I just really struggled. The flowers are all really beautiful!
Well I think I will still give and tell her if she has a vase, I can add back on the stems very easily. I hate to buy her a vase because most of us have a ton
Yeah! I agree with @JDisaduck! I think it looks lovely the way it is, you might be being a little too hard on yourself! it looks beautiful, and you can tell you put a lot of time and love in to it!
Thank you! I think I had so many struggles and challenges, its like I was doomed with this from the beginning! I am still going to give to her but I will add on the kit Emma just posted. Dreamin Terrace. Really cute and I got from the craft store for $13
Thank you my Friday friend! I probably am. It just had alot of challenges and breaks that I ended up not liking it very much! But even my hubs said it was pretty so yes I am probably being difficult!
We are our biggest critics so I know what you mean, especially when you had a not so smooth start. But it really does look pretty! And @Atropex agrees!
This turned out so lovely. I forgot to tell you that I filled my vase with pennies for weight to hold it standing upright. I had read somewhere before that people had trouble with the falling over so I did that and it never even crossed my mind when you were working on it. It’s not at my house so I don’t see it every day. I gave it to my mother
The sunflower was ok and the only think that broke on that was a stem.
*With the Eucalypsis I decided to paint. I wanted a more grey/silver color or dark green. The hardest part of these are pushing all the petals on but not horrible.
*I posted the picture of the Lilac and the confusing directions. Placing all the mid size pieces prior to flowers took some force which is scary.
The instructions give you a few marked places to put the flowers. pushing them on to the stems is a fragile process. After these are placed, there are several (30 or so) that are empty. You are then able to take your pick and place your choice of flower on the remaining stems. Some overlap and can be difficult to push on without breaking another. This is where I broke a branch.
*The red Camillia went fine, just be carefuk with the flexable petals!
*The rose also has flexable petals and can be hard to push the petals in place.
*I think the hardest is just pushing any flower/petal on to stems. The wood is very thin and cracked very easy. It helped to sand the little pegs. Can add a tiny bit of wax as well. This helped.
*Be very careful if the flower can tilt. This piece almost always breaks on me. I usually dont bend them around but with this kit, depending on bouquet, you may need to (at least the directions look like it!).
*I chose to paint which can swell the wood and cause issues. So paint wisely!
There is my Essay @TheToday Hoping this helps a bit!
