Thank you Anne,
Building these little dwellings keeps my heart at peace as I wonder who would live or work in them

The best Gifts Are those which can’t he brought
It’s health and even more precious Time
Of course, you’re very welcome
Exactly. A lot of young people these days dont understand the importance of it.
I agree! and unfortunately we do not always see that until we get older. I look at my grandchildren and often wonder how long I will enjoy them for. Days, months, years roll by and I wonder how it went so fast!
I wish I would have taken health more seriously years ago. I am ok but worry!
I know I took much for granted.
I noticed recently that my daughter (9) had developed a humming. I asked her why she felt she was doing it and she told me it started when I would go on lomg hospital stays with my other child and she would hum because she missed me. I realized that a lot of my focus was on my son and I felt terrible. I ended up buying the harp music box and sat down at the table with my daughter and started to build it. Watching her read the instructions, push out the pieces and focusing was such a positive experience. We talked, laughed and she was bossing me around telling me what pieces went where lol. It was definitely a beautiful thing to watch. She wants to try a nook next so I will be buying that next weekend hopefully. Thank you guys for creating something that strengthens bonds.
Awwww…this is such a good story. I know how much she must miss you when you are away. This is a perfect bonding experience for the two of you…and I am SO very happy that you have discovered it together. @April_Parks
@Erica_Thomson wellcome ! What a lovley build you have done … the site has lovley people who have been so kind a nice to me and the kits and creations they do are wonderfull .. enjoy your journey x
Crafting has done so much good for my family. My 3 year old has level 2 ASD and her special interest is anything and all crafts! It’s such an amazing and fun way for her to decompress when she’s overstimulated. She is too young to do any Rolife kits, but I’m sure she will be better than me at them eventually lol!
thank you for the opportunity!
For someone who’s family usually doesn’t talk too much cause we’re all pretty busy, it brought us closer. Now we all huddled up together, talk and make. As someone who had a lot of secret meltdown in the middle of the night in the bathroom, because i thought I pushed people away, this made me happier and eventually made me talk about it. Thank you for listening.
Welcome to the group @Iridescent2002 . I hope your daughter has lots of fun crafting things out of felt, craft sticks, pipe, cleaners, etc. for now. She will definitely love these in the future
It’s great that you have found an activity that is so special for bonding time in these hectic times. @elisia
What meaningful change has crafting brought to my life?
It’s helped me become closer to the people in my family, my friends and it’s created a happier relationship between my partner and myself. Sharing that I craft has made me friends, good ones too. Ive had my little sister and mom come to an event, after they came they’d always be interested in seeing the newest models coming out or hearing about my latest build. They started asking questions when they never did before, it really brought us closer. I made friends with this girl in Red Rock (2hs away but that’s okay) She’s been a close friend, call out of the blue and they’d pick up then talk for 2hs, that type of friendship, I havent had one of those in years. My partner and I would always play video games, sadly never in the same room. Doing Rolife kits has brought us closer, we have something we both can sit down and do together. I do Rolife kits and he makes his Gundams. Finding the right craft has really made a big change in my life. Im truly grateful ![]()
Yes! Building together and helping each other with puzzles sounds far more satisfiying than gaming in separate rooms. So happy that you found this shared interest. @Emma_Samchek
Wayyyyyyy more interactive
Better then yelling because we died of a Creeper (Minecraft enemy) Thank you sweetheart! ![]()
LOL! I mean I guess some video games are where you are part of a ‘team’ that you could play AS a team…but then that could lead to arguments if one of you makes a bad move. Much better to build together.
My first kit was Miller’s Garden, which I built during Covid. I completely fell in love with it. After Covid I drifted into other hobbies for a while, but in 2025 I started building them again, and since then I’ve completed more than 20 kits.

Welcome to the community @Yolandie_Authers Miller’s Garden is a beautiful kit! This hobby can certainly be addicting. Are you a fan of the miniature houses, Super Creators…or have you completed any wooden models? I hope that you will share them all here. If you need help in learning how to create a post, feel free to ask.
Crafting has brought so much joy, creativity, and connection to my family life.
One of my most meaningful moments (beside’s my moms awesome Sakura Dreamy Tour gift) was when my husband and in-laws surprised me with display cases (on separate occasions) for my miniatures. They knew how much I love building and arranging my creations, and their thoughtful gesture filled me with happiness. Now, whenever family members visit, they’re eager to see my work, and sharing it sparks laughter, stories, and small moments of togetherness that feel truly special.
Even extended family members have started asking to join my workshops and cheer me on, making this hobby a shared experience across generations. Crafting has added mindfulness, excitement, and a little dopamine boost to my days, while giving my family a fun and creative way to connect, celebrate, and enjoy time together.
What began as a personal passion has grown into a vibrant part of our family life, a space where creativity and connection meet.
