Football has always been part of our home because my husband and son are huge football fans. They never miss a chance to watch a match together, so when I saw this Whimsical Thursday challenge, I knew we had to join!

I folded the little origami football jersey, and my son had fun coloring and decorating it. It turned into such a sweet little teamwork activity, and he was so proud to hold up our finished creation.

The quiz was just as much fun! I asked my husband each question like he was a contestant on a TV game show, complete with dramatic pauses before revealing the answers. Thankfully, our football expert passed the challenge!

Whether we’re cheering for a match together or enjoying a simple craft at home, these are the moments that become our favorite family memories.

Now we’re ready for the World Cup fun!

Hahaha, I loved taking part! It made me feel like a kid again—it’s been ages since I did origami!
I think it turned out pretty decent! Hahaha, those white lines on the T-shirt were way too hard, though.

Of course I chose Japan! Hahaha, it couldn’t be any other way.

I had to channel my elementary-school self to make this origami and coloring. I’m not really a football fan, but since the only player I knew was Son Heung-min, I chose his jersey. So here it is—haha! Please bear with my origami skills.

I have to admit, I’m not a football fan at all, but I do love a creative challenge.

So I folded a jersey for Team Kim because crafting is my favorite team to be on! Whether I’m building miniatures, cross stitching, or trying something new like this little paper jersey, I love creating things with my hands and seeing a simple idea come to life.

I also have to confess that I didn’t know any of the quiz answers, so I learned something new by looking them up. I hope I got them right.

My grandson and I always discuss who the G.O.A.T. of soccer is. I say Messi. He has argued Ronaldo. But now Lamine Yamal. He dresses everyday as if he is going to soccer practice. He is 6. I just love the interest he shows.

This made me smile! We have a similar debate at home. My husband is a big Ronaldo fan, while my son is firmly on Team Messi! It’s always fun hearing everyone’s reasons, and I wouldn’t be surprised if the next generation starts choosing Lamine Yamal too. Your grandson sounds absolutely adorable!
