That mechanical music box looks so cool!
There’s something really fascinating about how all those little pieces come together to make music. What a fun build! ![]()
Busy weeks are tough but that Daily Fresh flower kit is such a great motivator to push through!
Hope you get some good building time soon — can’t wait to see it finished! ![]()
Thank you @Kim_Kieffer . I quite enjoyed building this kit.
Romontic Venice is nice..
They are so easy to have on in the background because I can listen to them and won’t miss much. And, they be probably seen them before anyway.
Thanks Kim (sorry, I’ve only just seen this). It’s a grea little space for sure.
My crafting habits are ‘shocking’
Currently working on a tin kit.
I have Inattentive ADHD and I find it really hard to get motivated and focussed even if its a kit I’m desperate to be getting on with. I have music on loud and with headphones to fill my brain to help stop me from getting sidetracked or facebook scrolling. Prefererably fast beats like ElectroSwing (check out Parov Stelar) My ‘shocking’ pleasure is my motivational rewards. A pot full of chocolates and sweets with a timer on top that I can set so I can only access them once Ive crafted for a set time. If I try and open it earlier I’d get an electric shock ![]()

Yes, it was but I hope I will be free next week to rest. Yes, it is and it’s a beautiful kit.
Thank you. I can’t wait to finish it soon and share my finished build here. ![]()
We just reached the start of that one! They’re so worth it, they just keep getting better, too.
That’s great. I actually saw the physical books in Big W the other day.
Drama not my favourite
but my mom was crazy on Thai Drama - Love Destiny
She watched almost 5 to 6 times in different language… include original- Thai
even thought she go to searching the actor & actress detail ![]()
Your tin build is tiny. I love that it is sooo small. Great work in keeping yourself focused.
That’s the A frame Cabin ![]()
Wow, love your craft space!
I love this question because crafting really does have its own little rhythm. ![]()
Most of the time I’m either in my comfy computer chair at my thrifted desk, or honestly… sitting on my bed with a kit spread around me. I usually craft alone, but my husband is often in the same room doing his own thing, which makes it feel cozy without being distracting.
I almost always have something playing in the background. A good audiobook is my favorite, especially a romantasy story. Other times I’ll switch to classical string music, or even musicals. My playlists can get pretty random too. One minute it’s Taylor Swift, the next it’s the Hamilton soundtrack, and sometimes even songs from the Trolls movies.
When I really need to focus though, I’ll turn everything off and craft in total quiet….
One funny habit I have is that I literally hold my breath while waiting for tiny pieces to glue together. I catch myself doing it all the time. Crafting also puts me in full hyper focus mode, so hours can pass before I even notice. While I’m crafting my mind is mostly calm and quiet.
Sometimes I’ll randomly think about tips I could share with other builders… or suddenly wonder if my husband has eaten yet. I always keep water or electrolytes nearby, but I don’t like snacking while I build because I don’t want to get my fingers dirty.
The best little moments are when fragile pieces don’t break, when something clicks perfectly into place, and honestly, opening a fresh new box. That feeling never gets old.
Doing many things over the weekend… took a little time for myself to start this:
haha. I tend to teach the actor and actress details too if I like them.
Those certainly look like they’ll be a lot of fun!
I’ve begun working on one of those incredibly challenging tiny kits, but I haven’t finished it yet. I must keep that candy jar out of my husband’s sight. He might try to implement it.
You’re not kidding about those little satisfying clicks when something clicks into place, and the fact that you can put something together when they’re so tiny and fragile. I definitely feel that way.
