Somebody recently brought up the steam engine and I realized today that I never shared mine here. I chose to give mine a weathered appearance with rust, mud and crackled wood.

This looks amazing! I haven’t done it but I’ve seen it exposed in a shop in my city. It’s amazing how it changes with some color, you’ve done an amazing job imo. And nice detail adding those two cute farmers!

Did you find this build as complicated/tricky as I’ve been reading lately?

Absolutely love what you have done with it! Really cool! I honestly don’t have the patience for painting and weathering a model… Lots of respect!

Thank you! It was a bit tricky in a couple of parts. I did glue my drivers side piece below the floor in place so that I could install a few other things all at once. It seems I didn’t have enough hands. :zany_face: Lots of gears involve and making sure they end up exactly where they need to be. Precision with clear spacers is a must!

Thank you so much! @Niels_Tempel . I was trying lots of different things…and some worked out better than others. All in all, it was definitely a learning experience.

Sounds tricky and complicated, but I’m sure it was also super satisfying in the end. You should be proud of yourself! The final result is unique and incredibly beautiful.

Wow this is SO amazing Nita! I really love the mud and rust! They’re super realistic. This would fit perfectly in a diorama scene. :pink_heart:

I would ask how you managed to do it but it’s probably going to end up being a long essay. :laughing:
