The deck piece is slightly warped and as a result will not snap into place. Any suggestions on how to flatten the piece out? I tried soaking it but that didn’t work.
I think you can use glue to snap it
Soaking it is never good as it makes the wood swell. You may need to email for a new piece…unless you can just steam it and put a HUGE amount of weight on it and let it dry out properly. Sorry to hear that you are having this issue.
You can try gently warming it (with a hair dryer on low) and then pressing it flat under some heavy books until it cools down. Sometimes adding a bit of wax or glue also helps it settle into place if it’s just slightly warped.
If not, you can always ask for a replacement piece from @CustomerService. Hope it helps!

Hello! The bending of the wooden board is caused by the evaporation of moisture inside it. If pressing it does not work, we can send you some replacement parts.
