[Vintage Rolife] Dora’s Loft Update #5

Hey guys! :waving_hand:t2:

I’m sad to say my days off are almost at and end, and I go back to work for 4 days of dayshift tomorrow :sob:! I didn’t get much done this past few days off, my first day I was dead from getting off nights. My second day I was very very in to a book and had to finish it! So I only really worked on my build a little yesterday and today! All the stuff I have been working on is plants, so very time consuming a tedious!

Plant #1:

Building the plants didn’t start out too bad, it started with a type I have built before, so that was good! I love the little pearls that are added in the bouquet! So cute! :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

Plant #2, and a few others..:

Plant #2 was one of these small ones, but there was a few small ones so I grouped them all together! The most interesting to build was the little succulent that I had to make out of clay!

Plant #3:

Another bouquet of flowers, but this time in a pot! I haven’t made this type of flower before so it was a learning experience. I think it turned out pretty nice!

Plant #4:

I think this one is supposed to be branches with little buds growing on them. I had to make all the buds out of clay!

Plant #5:

Lilies! :star_struck: I’ve made this plant before when I built “The Wooden Hut”” so it wasn’t too bad!

Plant #6:

This was another new plant I had to build! I think it turned out really nice, I also like how it looks in the little wire hanging thing I had to build earlier!

Plant #7:

Just grasses… super boring   but I wanted to give a shoutout to @jeanneL for talking about quilling tools in one of her posts! Used those babies for the first time today and they rolled these grasses up easy peasy! Awesome tool! :raising_hands:t2:

Plant #8:

A cute little cactus I had to make out of clay! I think it just looks so cute! :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

That’s it for this set of days off folks. I still have at least another 12 or 13 plants left to build, and some of that is just hand making flowers and cutting out all the leaves for the vines that wrap around the infamous stairs! It’s going to be a lot of work! :face_with_bags_under_eyes::face_with_bags_under_eyes: I imagine I’ll be working on this build for at least another 2 sets of days off, but we’ll see, at least my first day of my next set of days off won’t be spent being tired!

I hope everyone had a great weekend and is have a good start of the week! As always thanks for reading!

Loving the looks of your plants! So different from one to the next, so colorful, so detailed. While I’m usually a patient person, I’m not sure if I’ll be that happy crafting all of those. I haven’t had the best of experiences crafting mini flowers  but you did an AMAZING job here. You should be proud.

And well, back to reality then! Good luck with your dayshifts.

Night shifts really knock you around. I don’t know how you do a few in a row to be honest. Good for you.
Your flowers look amazing. There is so much work in them. And I do love your little cactus, but I’d be tempted to draw a face on it.
Enjoy your upcoming day shifts.

Nope, got at least 12 to 13 more, all the leaves and petals are cut out by hand too :sob::sob:

It definitely takes practice! I used to hate them, but they started to grow on me after doing the old version of Emily’s flower shop!

I don’t mind switching to nightshift, not a fan of switching back to days, though this time it went pretty well… my last rotation I was up in the middle of the night like every night for a week, it sucked!
