Valentine’s Day and the weekend that was

I love the sound of rain on the roof. I especially love it when I wake in the morning and remember that I have the weekend off.
I had forgotten it was Valentines Day. I had a card for hubby but I hadn’t got him anything. We don’t generally make a fuss, but he came in with a gorgeous floral arrangement with orchids and a box of chocolates. How to make me feel bad :crying_cat:

We don’t generally have a lot planned for the weekend but we had plans for Saturday. Our washing machine needed to be replaced so we had to drive to our nearest shopping area (about 45 minutes away). Before that, I did duck down to our local shops and got some chocolates for my husband.
As chance would have it, the place we got the washing machine from was right next to Spotlight!!! And I had a gift card from Christmas! The gift card wouldn’t work but I wasn’t about to return the mini kits I’d tucked under my arm back to the shelves. So, they came home with me.
I picked one last night to do and then in a couple of hours I was finished. Such a great feeling!

So, today I unpacked another kit. I’ve been wanting to do this one for ages.

After spending at least an hour just on the gramophone, I thought the worst was over but then I had to build the bathtub.
I would like to go on record as saying that you should be careful what you wish for. I so wanted this kit and it is turning out to be my least favourite but I’m determined to see it through.l although I’m not sure the gramophone is going to make it in.

Those first two kits are really cute. I don’t think I’ve seen the kit where you are making the bathtub and gramaphone. Which one is this?

They are both Rolife kits. The first is called Afternoon Baking Time and the one with the bath is called Bubble Bath.

Thankyou So much @serenebliss_23. My husband is very sweet. That’s why I’ve kept him for so long ha ha

That kit is called Bubble Bath @Nita_Davis. It is Rolife.

WOW! I guess I’ve only seen the Super Creator One where it is already built…I believe?

You’re being far too sweet @Jerry_Boswijk. I have all the tools but the B7000 (I don’t like it but I may as well use it up) kept sticking to my fingers and then my fingers kept sticking to things they shouldn’t. And really, the whole thing was terribly frustrating :joy:

I can understand why the super creator ones are already built Nita!
Seriously, I love doing the miniatures but those tiny beads and bits of wire were difficult.
But I have to say that the development team who created the idea in the first place need a commendation. I would never have thought to make taps out of beads and wire! Or a gramophone needle out of wire and wire casing.
