[ 💬 User Review] Fairytale mushroom house is done (time for a review) ʚଓ˚ ༘♡ ⋆。˚

✰⋆。:゚・*☽:゚・⋆。✰⋆。:゚・*☽:゚・⋆。✰⋆。:゚・*☽
So finally free after exams (I have another in 2 weeks  but delusion is key ), I was able to finish my mushroom house (I know there’s no mushroom in its name but we’re calling it that anyways), so time for our usual yapping session.

This kit wasn’t hard at all, but had lots and lots of details which took me some time over a week with 1hr or two of work and this made me realize how much I love working on small details the precision, the attention and amount of focus they need was very enjoyable and made my brain completely shut up and detach from reality which was Heaven (since the inside of myind feels like there’s about 10 men constantly brawling and yelling at each, a bit of silence was very welcomed), but it made me consider giving the older DIY kits a chance so rolife please bring them back :hugs:

Without further distractions leegggooooo :sparkles:

FIRST WHAT I LOVED:

Basically I went “aww” at each detail that I saw so I’m just going to mention the ones that nearly made me cry from just stinkingly cute they were ꨄ

1.The type of person I turned into when I saw the bubble wrapper :sob: boy did I have fun popping them

2.Obviously the plants, I just love plants and everything green so :woman_shrugging:

(Specially this one dangling from the roof)

  1. The ladder, the grape vines were the best thing about it

4.The smallest utensils known to humanity, ARE YOU KIDDING ME?? YOU SEE HOW FREAKING CUTE THESE ARE :sob:

5.The cutest fridge ever

6.The stove (please shoot me rn I can’t handle all of this)

7.THE BOOTS???!!!??!!! PLEASE NOBODY TALK TO ME RN :sob:

8.The table… i’ll just let her speak for herself

9.The bookshelf with its books :sob: (bonus plus point for the books for including a cat in one of its covers)

Everything was just adorable that picking only these feels like a crime…

NOW TO WHAT I DIDN’T LIKE OR WHAT I WISHED WAS DIFFERENT:

1.Being the elephant in the room… The tree trunk being all just two big blocks if plastic??? I wished they’d been wood to complete the illusion (actually I’m quite conflicted with this one because I don’t think it’d turned out to be this pretty if the trunk was wood but…)

2.I loved all the details and I love details as much as the next person but in this case they kind of were too much when you start installing them?? Specially teh first floor it became cramped quickly that I had to start re-arranging things to leave some space

3.I wish the logs have been slim part of wood that we stick together and we cover them afterwards with the brown fabric provided

4.Speaking of fabric I wish that the table cloth and beddings were actually fabric and not papers so for ex: instead of the huge chonk brown that we got (just for 6 logs) maybe a smaller one of it and another one to cover the table cloth and beddings would’ve been much better

(Forgot to take pictures of the bed :woman_facepalming:t2:)

5.This owl was just a big (???) From the front it looks good but the side??? It’s just so awkward and to me personally it didn’t fit in very well with the whole aesthetics of the kit

6.I’d have loved for the lines that define the compartments of both the kitchen cabinet and the closet to be a bit darker bcs rn they’re practically non-existent

7.I wish some details that made no sense (like the dice with the crow on it, the stupid owl?) Where substituted for better miniatures like a small :teddy_bear: or small clothes or kitchen tools that we can stock them in the cabinets or the closet, in my humble opinion that no one asked for those would’ve been better and would’ve made more sense then that owl :woman_facepalming:t2:

8.This watch had no business being a shiny gray with such a modern design (a vintage brown design would’ve been appreciated to match the frames in the walls)

9.To my biggest disappointments
A. What do you mean there’s nothing to cover the battery down there?? i kept waiting for me to reach the instruction that’d tell me to cover it up but it never came :sob: so my battery is just dangling there :sob:

B. How I wished for the kit to include a miniature animal like a squirrel or even a rat to have him live there :sob: because how are you gonna make such a beautiful house with no habitants  (So I had my nanci occupy it till I find a better tenant for it )

THE DIFFUCULTIES I FACED

They were practically non-existent, mainly glue issues and some related to the light wires at the end, it’s a quite easy one so :woman_shrugging:
𓆡𓆝𓆞𓆟𓆜𓆛

Boy for someone who only gets her hands on these kits I always have a penny to share :woman_facepalming:t2:, have you ever seen a picky beggar?? This is what I am apparently

On a serious note now, this kit is so beautiful and her beauty is the main reason why I requested when I won the grateful hearys giveaway

And after assembling her and turning on the light I actually realized how pretty she is in real life ꨄ so I went to boast about it to me and she agreed saying “she’s the most beautiful one I’ve made till now” so she simply wins.

After that came the 1m$ question “how many kits do you have left” I said about 3 and she replied with “oh lord there goes the rest of my daughters exams… Because if only you paid this much attention to your studies as much as you put in these”… Why would she say that… Actually why would you need haters when you got a mom  (jk I love her but only when she’s not out for my flesh and dignity)
And yes I did the walk of shame afterwards because she’s not wrong either so

ANYWAYS SO FINAL RATING: A MOST MAGNIFICENT 8

Now a little begging session

I begged for this ones and I’m doing it again (throwing my dignity and self-respect left and right I swear to god)

So after finally releasing tea time kitties internationally… Rolife you have one job left  please release Nancis AUSPICIOUS ANIMALS AS WELL PRETTY PLEASE (the prettiest Nanci series to ever exist, and I’ll gladly fight anyone who doesn’t agree I don’t care)

I mean just look at these babies :sob:

And with it please include algeria in your shipping list :sob::sob::sob: I means I’ll probably be the only buyer and two others with me but still I’ll the spare change I’m collecting here and there so uhm INCLUDE ALGERIA TOO PLEASE :hugs:

And if you made it this far here’s a kiss

That is so cute. Such a lovely jut. I love the details of it. The addition of fruit Nanci in this build is just fitting perfectly.

I can feel your frustration with the logs. I wrapped my paper around a toothpick to make it easier for rolling. Small dowels would have been perfect. Either way, it’s still a lovely model and it turned out great…Now, back to studying…LOL! I know. That is NOt what you wanted to hear. On another note, your stories are alwsy so much fun to read.

You will get thru it. You’ve been doing this for (?) 7 or 8 years now? If I remember correctly…

Yeah my 7th year!! But things are getting hectic since this is the last year of studying!! So I need to throw myself into the library or else I’m ancient new

You got this! I would hate to think that 7 years is “out the window” but as I stated before…my son did 4 years towards an architectural degree and still works at his first love…food…but in a totally different aspect these days.

Hopefully I’ll find my way in life just like your son did

HAHAHAH another fun read! I had a lot of fun with this kit too I kept screaming at every single detail.

In terms of the watch, I just assumed it was borrowed from a human and that’s why it’s so modern and shiny. And yeah for the kitchen cabinet, I basically carved my own lines with a knife.

Do agree with the magnificent 8 rating! :pink_heart:

I wish you good luck on your exams.

I want to do that but I’m just afraid of destroying them and that’s holding me back  maybe I’ll start practicing on paper and staff before actually applying them to my kits

Sometimes in actual practice you find something that you fall in love with and then you start to shine. Also seeing how things suddenly really click makes a difference!
