[ 💬 User Review] Fairy Tale Amusement Park

First of all, I would love to thank @Robotime for giving me the opportunity to “test drive” this lovely little book nook. This is the Fairy Tale Amusement Park. The vibe created here is so reminiscent of my childhood days. It brought me back to a time where I could almost hear the calliope organ playing that old familiar tune. The sound of children laughing and the shrieks from the thrill of the rides filled the air. At first glance, you see the the little store-front window filled with toys such as trains, planes and of course the cute teddy bear which beckons you to come inside and stroll the aisles of the toy store. But WAIT! There are treats to be had! An adorable ice cream stand with snow dripping on the edges calls you in. They also have cotton candy and funnel cakes… :smiling_face_with_three_hearts: For those of you who may not know, there is NO amusement park in the US without either of those. Google funnel cakes…very easy to make and SO delicious! I topped mine with fruit. These two additions I made beyond the actual kit. The ice cream provided for the stand is so cute…and colorful as well. The carousel horses are so elegant and colored on both sides so that they still look amazing from the mirror provided as a backdrop. This makes the space appear much larger as well. This was an amazing build overall and I would recommend it to all. There were two areas that I struggled with. The curved storefront glass window requires patience…but you WILL succeed in getting it done. The only other problem I encountered (by fault of my own) was part P16. At first glance, it appears to be symmetrical…but it is not. One side is straight and the other is at a slight angle. Be sure that the STRAIGHT edge faces the right exterior wall. On another note, the look of ths build was fabulous as is…but y’all know ME and I had to 'switch it up a bit. I loved the castle look of the front but had to switch up my colors a bit…and so I carried them inside as well. I hope you like the remake, the review and I REALLY hope you consider doing this one yourself. It’s lovely and when you plug it in and see the fascinating light display…even better. Here is a link to purchase as well. Rolife Fairytale Amusement Park DIY Book Nook TGB17 | Robotime

This was a really good review @Nita_Davis, and your painting, as always, is immaculate! I feel like you did a great job of bringing the build to life, as well as display the joy you felt while building with your very thorough description of the build! Great work! :smiling_face_with_three_hearts::smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

Thanks so much @Orangesareus . I used a regular old kitchen sponge that I cut down to about a 1 inch square. I get it wet to soften it up and the get all of the water out but squishing it in a towel. Then dab it in the paint…and dab some off onto a piece of foil and then the little bit that is left goes onto my finished piece. This is also what I’ve done on my Big Ben, Tower Bridge, dressing box, orchids. I use this technique a LOT.
