[ 💬 User Review] A Book Nook Dream Come True: Fairytale Amusement Park

Today I’m beyond excited to share a very special build. I had the amazing opportunity to receive the Fairytale Amusement Park Book Nook before its official launch as an exclusive benefit for Robotime brand ambassadors, which allows us to experience and build the product ahead of time.

Because of this, the instructions were in Chinese, but honestly… that wasn’t an issue at all. As always, Robotime instructions are super visual, clear, and well designed, so I had absolutely no problem following every step.

A small note before talking about difficulty: this is not my first book nook. In fact, I absolutely love building them. I have lots of bookshelves at home, and book nooks give them such a magical and unique touch. For this one, the difficulty is 3/6, a very balanced medium level.

The theme itself is just ADORABLE :face_holding_back_tears:. It’s colorful, cheerful, full of tiny details, and has that fairytale magic that instantly makes you fall in love. I started this kit with so much excitement.

I’ve been painting the edges of my wooden kits with markers for a while now because I truly believe it elevates the final look, and this one was no exception. That does make the build take a bit longer, but overall, this is not a very time-consuming kit.

This time, with Alvin by my side, my markers, tools, and everything ready, I started this little adventure.

The kit technically doesn’t require glue since it comes with double-sided adhesive, but I always keep my superglue nearby just in case some details, in my opinion, look better well secured.

One thing I absolutely loved is that this book nook includes different types of lighting placed throughout the scene: some lights are fixed, and others actually move. This gives it such an authentic and magical feel.

:light_bulb: As always: It’s very important to test your lights before installing them!

The build starts with the lower part of the carousel, working on the first wiring, and with the details on the left side of the book nook. Everything is so thoughtfully designed that even the paper gifts have dedicated slots to fit the wooden bows.

The toy shop details are just beautiful: the front door with the little bear on the glass, the wooden toy soldiers, the bears in the display, the train… I honestly fell in love at every step!!!

Once the base of the display is done, we get to one of the trickiest parts for me: the display case itself. You need patience with the transparent plastic, as all the tabs have to fit perfectly both at the top and bottom to achieve the curved shape. The paper pieces, like the airplane, also require extra care since they’re more delicate than the wooden parts. My advice here is simple: go slowly and be patient. Everything fits beautifully in the end.

After finishing the top of the toy shop, adding some flowers (which I swapped for ones I already had at home) and tree branches, the left side is complete. Then comes one of the most satisfying parts: the carousel!!

It’s incredibly rewarding to build, though some steps require attention. I painted all the golden details on the carousel edges because I think it adds a gorgeous finishing touch. Be careful with the “glass” pieces too, they can scratch easily if you use tweezers like I do.

:light_bulb: Wiring here is key: make sure the cables are properly positioned, facing the right way, and that the outer sticker is well attached. I added a bit of glue on the ends just to be safe.

And then… the carousel horses!!! SO CUTE!!!. They’re actually easy to place and look amazing once installed.

More lights go into the top section, again paying close attention to cable placement and the delicate pieces that need gentle handling.

:light_bulb: The carousel is mounted onto the right wall, which includes a mirror. The mirror needs to be placed carefully, keeping all openings clear and making sure it sits flush. Also, fix correctly the carrousel against the mirror.

On this same wall, we also build the ice cream cart, which is honestly adorable, with bear-themed ice creams in different flavors. I’m obsessed.

Once both walls are ready, it’s time to assemble the book nook structure itself. First the walls, then the rear mirror that creates a beautiful infinity effect. It’s not difficult, but you do need to be careful not to scratch it. The ferris wheel at the back adds such a magical final touch.

And finally… the front exterior, designed like a medieval fairytale castle. I painted all the edges, carefully placed the little bear that covers the touch switch, and… voilà! The book nook is complete!!!

As a final step, I added the dust cover. I absolutely love when kits include one. It keeps everything protected and pristine.

I’m sharing final photos with all the details and the lights turned on, because honestly… this book nook has become one of my favorites ever, right up there with Sakura Densya. It’s packed with gorgeous details, has just enough challenge to keep things interesting, and the final result is more than worth the effort.

I’m definitely going to show this one off to everyone who visits my home with proud

What do you think? Do you like this new book nook? Are you also a book nook fan like me?

Thank you so so so so much for this opportunity, @Robotime!!! :smiling_face_with_three_hearts: :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

It’s beyond cool that you got to try this newly released kit!

It makes me want to be a brand ambassador so bad but I’m not really good at being the person to lead a group.

I like everything about the ambassador group except the leadership part. :frowning:

Wow thanks for the detailed pics, nice to see the different angles of it! Haven’t done a book nook yet but I considered them since some designs already has dust covers included which saves the extra cost. Also love your cat looking so chill in there

Thank you so much. And honestly, being an ambassador isn’t really about leading or being “out there” all the time. It’s about sharing what you love in your own way, at your own pace. You don’t have to be anything other than yourself, and that’s already enough.

WOW! What a wonderfully detailed review! You’ve done an amazing job! I agree that the details in this one are just adorable. The added flowers are such a special touch. I struggled as well with the curved glass window. It definitely required a bit of patience.
