I love how it’s looking so far! Don’t forget to properly apply the liquid wax provided over the black areas. That’s where the horse “sticks” will move around and up and down, and you want that wax for the movement to be smooth.
It’s beautiful.
Your tip is something new. I’ve never known that way.
it’s bigger than you would expect
I’ll take a picture with something next to it when it’s finished, then you can see how big it is
Thanks for the tip ![]()
Your welcome
Of course it only works with paper ![]()
Any time!
Oh which one do you have left to buy? I’m not too familiar with the series I’m actually in awe finding out there’s so many in the series. ![]()
Your skills are really growing well done. It looks totally original
I don’t think it’s really a series, but I’m trying to make all the attractions, I think the only thing missing is the Tilt a whirl
Thank you much @Jerry_Boswijk I’m not very happy haha but I like this better than the brown side ![]()
Amazing job
Thank you @volkersteuten ![]()
Love your solution and it looks great @Liset. These are the bits I get the most satisfaction from when I work out a solution for a problem ![]()
Thank you @Jo_Zanella I was glad I found a solution, it saves a lot of sanding, but tracing the drawing also takes a lot of work. It’s fun to do, and I think more fun than sanding ![]()
That’s funny @Liset, the lesser of two evils ![]()
I think blue is a nice colour.
I’m curious too see what colours you chose!! btw is sanding and priming a must do before painting??
You don’t need to sand or prime unpainted wood. This was the paper part, though; there’s a kind of coating over it that makes it smooth. I thought if I sanded it properly and primed it, the paint would hold, but it didn’t.
ooh!! so If I ever encounter shiny wood priming an sanding helps the paint grip on to it better??
I only lightly sanded the painted wood; I didn’t use a primer. @Nita_Davis suggested using 400 grit sandpaper, so you won’t see any scratches. It helps the paint adhere better.
