Update 1: Beach picnic (not Rolife)

I managed to do some crafting today. This is my third miniature house, and it’s quite challenging, since everything has to be made by hand.

The first steps were easy. I had to make two surfboards. I had to cut out the pictures and glue them onto a piece of wood. The instructions were fairly easy to follow.

The plants were a bit more difficult because all the leaves had to be cut out of the paper. The round leaves were pre-printed on paper and I had to cut them out. I had to cut the dark green plants and the large dark leaves from a piece of green paper. There were clear pictures available that I could use as a template.

A hammock has been placed between the palm trees. I really like the details on the hammock. This was the first time I had to make an open book, and wow, what fiddly work.

Now comes the hardest part of this whole kit…making the flowers…oh my, oh my, now I know what you’re always talking about. I made one of the ten flowers and then immediately stopped because it was such a tedious job. The flower is maybe 3mm in size.

I won’t be able to do much for the next few days because I have to work tomorrow, and on Friday I’m giving a workshop on building Robotime kits at a reunion of my mother’s old nursing school

WOW! This very detailed…and I can’t even imagine trying to get all of that into the tiny bowl. Very cool! That’s so nice of you to host a workshop for the ladies. Have fun!

It’s coming together beautifully so far. It really is cute. Apart from the flowers, I think I’d love to build this myself.

Thank you :hugs: Onoo :scream: that’s not good. It didn’t happen because of your hobby, did it? Get well soon.

Thank you :hugs: the bowl is not super small. I have already put the palm trees in and now it already seems quite full so I am curious whether everything will fit

The surf board and hammock are so cute :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

Those flowers sure are tiny. I wouldn’t want to make more of those. I feel tired just by looking at it hehehe

Oh, I know what you mean by that open book

Great progress so far! Regarding the paper flower, ugh, I really feel you there. Maybe this topic by @Kim_Kieffer will help you! It seems like it’s saved a few lives regarding the paper flower situation
