To color or not to color?

I did not build anything tonight. We have an open day at the company where I work. And I volunteered to paint the direction sign, so I made some stencils tonight.

But as I mentioned in my post about the start of the London Marble Run kit, I’m considering to add color to that one.

I had a package with acrylic markers that arrived today, so I tested some on the wood to make sure it covers properly.

I’m very satisfied with the tests, so I think I will color the London Marble Run.

But now I have to decide which colors to use. I found an example on Facebook that I liked, with use of color, but still subtle. So I might base my work on that one. Keep you posted

Haha yes, I used them for my test even though they were not meant specifically for that

I will look forward to seeing what you create from this one. It is so much fun to do.

Now that you mention it, I was never quite sure what those “Test” squared things were meant for, but that’s a nice use you’ve given them

It is a test for the lasercutter. These tests help the manufacturer to determine the correct speed and power of the laser for that piece of wood

Ohhh! So it’s a test for them, not for us. Good to know, thanks! But hey, you’ve made it your own :stuck_out_tongue:

I have just used the wood without a piece but why not use the test area. They are there! even if not for us.

Indeed. I thought it was the perfect spot to test my markers .
