I got tired of spinning my wheels and going nowhere fast on the hot rod. That thing can sit in its little garage until it learns how to act right. I was able to accomplish two steps in 2 days. Shifted gears and moved over to the blooming book. I am back in my happy place now

That’s so right! I ended up using my orbital sander to shave off a bit of wood to make the engine area fit into the chassis. Trying to install the mufflers was even worse. I will go back and spend a day or two on it again when I finish my flower book.
I’m glad you made a good change, and you’re keeping a great pace too! I’m sure you’ll be really motivated to bring it out of the garage afterwards.
I managed to spend a little time this afternoon starting the sakura flower. Seeing how yours is turning out, they’re going to look super different. Enjoy the process a lot, @Nita_Davis!

I hate when I start getting frustrated with a kit, switching to something easier and within your comfort zone is the best thing ever

I am so glad I did as well. @Atropex I can only withstand a step or two on that model at a time. I actually completed the orchid long ago as just a single flower…but I am NOT doing all that again when I can just use that one in this model. I will give the other orchid to my niece to build.

That Sakura seems to be the most labor-intensive one…well, besides the orchid…which (thank goodness) I already had made…LOL! @Wenbare. Wishing you the best on your build.

I understand because I also went through a crisis; the models were too small, causing pain in my hands and eyes. So I stopped and switched to something newer and more innovative.
