Hello!

I posted this but still haven’t got feedback to fix my Cuckoo Clock.

Here’s a summary:

I’ve finished my clock but cannot get the clock to keep time. Here’s a summary:

Lights, cuckoo & pendulum all work. I’ve checked to ensure all connections are tight, set the clock per pg. 26 and have charged it.

PLEASE HELP so I can display this for my wife.

Thank you.

Dan

I responded back a few days ago with some suggestions. Did you remove batteries and run on USB as instructed? Batteries need to come all the way out. This is what Customer Service recommends to help

Your book nook is very nice @Nan-Si

You can always use the search feature within any topic. You just need to type in the model after going to helpful hints and then hit ‘in this topic’. Other wise, it will search all topics for that model.

Gee Mike that’s a great idea, I agree it would be handy

Hi Jeanette, yes I completely removed the batteries and ran on USB, still no movement of the hands…Dan

I think I would love to see a working kit of the Melbourne Star Observation Wheel. This wouldn’t be for the faint of heart and colored lights would be fabulous. Wouldn’t measure the completion time in hours, though. Maybe weeks.

Just did a quick test on the back side of one of the sheets for the Space Shuttle with a recently acquired airbrush. OMG! This far exceeded my expectations! Great coverage after applying several light coats, no brush marks, no swelling, no drips, no paint clogging up the cutouts. I’m changing my process based on this, just gotta stock up on some good masking tape :cowboy_hat_face::smiling_face_with_sunglasses:

Hmmm… I just have to wonder how you will get your edges? Will you be masking all of the surrounding stuff after building in order to spray them as well? @James_Cozart1 . On another note, I can’t wait to see your finished model.

Here’s a video link for you. Martin’s Assembly Haven is a great source for any help on most anything ROKR. ENJOY!!

Nita, I’m going to artist brush the ones I can’t airbrush due to overspray concerns. The gantry, fuel tanks and shuttle I may be able to airbrush the edges due to them being separate components that are added to the unit post construction. At least, that’s the plan based on my review of the manual and watching Martins YouTube video…

And I’m masking the sheets by color, doing them one color at a time. A bit tedious for sure, but I don’t think I can control where the paint goes well enough otherwise.

Oh…okay. I just now that brushing those edges are very tedious…and usually will take multiple coats

Right now I’m using Decoart, but honestly I haven’t done a comparison with other brands. It’s what I had on hand! :joy:
