So I’ve started a new kit-the steam engine, finding it quite a challenge does anyone have any advice?
Or has anyone here completed and how did you find it?

Sorry I can’t help because I haven’t done it yet. I’m looking forward to your updates.
I completed it a long time ago. Yes, it was quite challenging. Sand and wax your parts well and pay special attention that pieces are going in the right direction. I did use glue to hold the driver’s side together as it kept falling out while trying to add other parts. I no longer have the instructions…but it one or two of the black boards on the drivers’s side at the bottom.

I haven’t done it, but sanding and waxing as much as you need, and taking good care with the foldable parts, are always my #1 priorities with every kit.
Oh, and don’t rush it.

I haven’t done that kit yet. I think if you follow the instructions carefully, you will encouter less problems on your build. 
@Nita_Davis thankyou, it’s just going to be the case of sitting down and really focusing and taking it step by step. Careful attention and it should all come together piece by piece

This model is one of the more challenging kits. I haven’t built it myself yet, but my father is working on it. It’s his first kit, and he’s doing well so far. I think if you follow the instructions carefully, you’ll be fine.
