Today I’m starting a new project. My husband kept asking when I was going to make this one (it’s been sitting in the closet for three months). I don’t think it’s a very big project. Since I’m going to paint it, it will take a while before it’s finished :wink:

I have always wanted this one and I can’t wait to see what you do with it! I bought this one for my nephew and he loved it….but haven’t taken the time to do one myself. ENJOY!

I like the vintage style of this build, I think it will be a decoration for me and I won’t really use it :wink: this would be nice colours for the build

Oooh I got this one!

Advice, (if you feel up to it) for better quality of light inside, if you got some black paper, roll a sheet and fit it snug on the inside of the tube. (no need to glue it or anything, just roll it, slip it inside, let it expand so it stays there)

You’ll cover any potential light leaking in from between the pieces and make sure only what comes through the lens is visible!

(it need to be super thin but rigid paper, so it unroll but do not catch on the smaller tubes that retract inward though!)

The gold looks old, but I think the copper color is too pink. I don’t know how to make it look any better…maybe I’ll just leave it as is. :wink: I’ll try to work on it some more tonight so I can post an update. :wink:
