Spaceport stuck stairs elevator

My elevator gets stuck, seems it does not lift just high enough.
Balls should roll into bucket but they don’t initially, only second or even more round they end up in bucket.

Any ideas?
I already put some additional weight on the elevator.

I also have the impression that the speed is now slower because I integrated with the Link set.
The motor does not seems powerful enough.
And the belts are under quite some tension, pulling the axis sideways, causing friction.

I feel like they don’t fit together properly for the ball to roll through. Please check again.

I hope that @CustomerService would be able to help you with this. I know there are a few people here that was having trouble getting it to work when they installed the link set.

Thanks,

do you mean the order of the vertical plates?
I doubled checked those when building and crossed checked against working examples on youtube videos like:

This looks the same.

Any details on what do you think does not fit properly?

I didn’t see it directly, so I’m not sure. You have a tutorial video; try comparing it. I think there was a misalignment, which is why the ball didn’t go in.

Just wondering if this one worked properly on its own…BEFORE attaching the link?

Not perfect, but better.
I suspect the difference in speed is why.

Sorry to hear that you are having problems. I have done the Spaceport and the Marble Night city and both work perfectly. After seeing so many with issues in adding the link, I decided that I would never do that.

I splitted the two parts, and now they run both fine.

My conclusions is:

  • motor is too weak to have decent rotation speed
  • motor rotation speed is decreased by increased tension on bearings by belts that pull to hard on the axis.

Hello! Please try sanding the threshold of the ball outlet . If the issue persists, we can send you a replacement for this component —they have been optimized.
