Space Shuttle - step 1

As most of you know (if not all ) I had 4 kits now to choose from to start building.

I thought about doing a spin between the options but in the end I just grabbed the box that was calling to me the most. Which was the space shuttle.

Today I started and completed step 1. It started with testing all the electrical stuff, which was already really satisfying to see.

And I started building the base platform. Until now I did not encounter any difficulties. It was actually very nice to see all the pieces click together so well. And it’s very rewarding to be able to screw little things together with the tiny screws and screwdriver.

I will stop for today, even though it is still early (almost 6h30 pm) but I have to go to a birthday party of my cousin and his girlfriend who turn 30 this year. And afterwards I will be going to a little festival in my street.

This kit is really interesting! Are you going to color it?

No I’m going to keep this one as it is and just focus on getting the construction right.

That’s such a great update! :rocket: And building the base platform with those tiny screws and screwdriver—there’s something so rewarding about those little clicks and fits coming together smoothly.

Your doing great! I really loved making my space shuttle

@Minus_88 choosing the Space Shuttle because it was calling to you sounds like the right start. Testing the electrical parts first and seeing the base click together smoothly must have been very satisfying. Step 1 already sounds like a confident launch.

It is always fun to have fun at times but it’s also great to get back to the chill part of life where you get to hang out and make models. This is how I feel

That is true. I had very fun weekends. But the last weeks it was just a little too much, so really looking forward to a chill weekend where it is only me and a kit.
