Something different

Today i started the little tank kit i got from niels. The tank is a 1/76 scale and fits in the palm of my hand. The building part isn’t very difficult but the painting is a challenge. They supply paint with this kit but not the colours mentioned in the manual :man_shrugging::person_facepalming:.

Im gonna change the colour using acrylic paint i still have to see if i can make a camouflage pattern to nake it more realistic.

I do love working with different materials and crewting a scene.

What a cute little thing! It’s a shame it doesn’t come in the colors shown. But at least it has some.

Oh wow! 1:76 scale. That IS small. When I did the camo for my Jeep, I used kitchen sponges to add colors of khaki, white, brown and green. If you need any help, just holler.

My dad LOVES building these models. I too have tried building plane models from Revell(though I haven’t finished them LOL). I highly suggest you try Tamiya Water based paints they have a huge selection of colors you could try!

I’m excited and curious to see your progress about this kit since it’s small like you’ve mentioned. Have fun building it.

That’s a really interesting model. I’m looking forward to your work.

This is going to be so much fun for you Jerry. I can just see a little diorama with sand hills, tufts of grass, and rusted oil barrels.

This is gonna be interesting to follow! I’ve never seen a war-related kit in a very long time.

I think, based on the area, the tank is headed, helps determine colors. So sandy areas more yellows and mustardy. more lush areas more greens. So it can be where ever you might send it!

yeah it is a dessert diorama so yellow and light brown will be the colours i go with

that sounds like what I would do as well! Hoping you find colors that work. Over here it is mustardy but I have also seen beige and camo

i used a mustard type yellow indeed.
