[Solved] Very low volume for ROKR coffee factory

Hi guys,

Hope you are all well and I need advice for the ROKR coffee factory. I’m up to the third power-on test 3 and everything seems to be running okay, except that the volume is so low that I can barely hear it, but there is music playing in the background.

On the previous second power test, I accidentally plugged in the sound wire into the motor socket on the circuit board and tried to turn on a few times. Can this potentially damage the sound system?

I want to upload a video but the file size is too big. Please kindly let me know what is the issue in this case.

Thanks

Hope you will get your answers. I would love to find out too because I want to build this too.

I think that the initial power for the motor might be much stronger than what is needed for a speaker.

Please make sure of where you are plugging your wires into. Some have more power than others. @Tricia12

Noted. Thanks @Nita_Davis. I often use my power bank to test.

Yes it is possible, but it is very silly for me to make this mistake and didn’t pick the wire correctly as I see it from top view (not at the back) and just grab and plug it just assume it’s for the motor :downcast_face_with_sweat: Lesson learnt anyways haha, patient is always important!

@CustomerService might help you out, maybe its a duff Sound box

Hi, @Jason_Wong To upload a video you have to save it in Instagram or You Tube and then upload it to this forum from there.
I hope you get your sound figured out.

Hi guys, just a quick update - I have received the replacement parts from ROKR (took 8 days which is faster than I expected) and replaced the speaker and it is sounding much better now, so my original speaker was faulty or damaged. Thanks!
