Seahorse barque

I am working on the Seahorse (page 5) and am screwing in all those pieces for hull. I noticed a few of them didnt go in straight and now not staying down. I did add a drop of superglue and that is holding so so. Am I ok to throw in some more glue in that area?

Hmmmm, could you take a photo of page 5 so I can see it and tell you? My page 5 is the parts list in Italian, so I think it’s not the same :joy:

@Wenbare Here is page 5 for me. I circled the area and screws I was wondering about. No matter how hard I tried I could not get 2 of the screws to go in right and now, no matter how I try to angle, it just goes a bit to the left. I put a drop of superglue into the crevice the screw should go in to and that seems to be ok but I am a tad nervous

Due to the thinness of the wooden board, the screw holes may shift. We recommend using glue to assist in pasting these components for added stability.

Thank you so much! I appreciate this answer as it is very helpful!

I don’t think anything bad will happen if you add superglue in this part, so don’t worry. This is actually where I started painting the edges black, because since they’re long pieces held together with screws, they didn’t feel completely “perfect” to me. If you manage to get the screws to hold the parts and then add a bit of superglue so they don’t come loose, it’s totally fine, they’ll actually hold better! Hehe

Yeah, I was thinking I did not need to paint but can see I may need to do some

I only painted the edges a little, added some gold here and there, and that’s all :smiling_face:

This is indeed a difficult part. Some holes don’t fully line up

You can move the planks a bit further of back. And screw them a little sideways and use a little glue.

@Jerry_Boswijk
exactly what I ended up doing

Some planks i did like 5 times before i was happy with it

@Jerry_Boswijk
I tried but then got worried they would split so I finally stopped and glued

It looks good and that is what counts.
