Seahorse barque deck concave?

The main deck, part e68, is significantly concave; that is, it curves upwards at the sides so that it is impossible to connect it to the tabs on both sides simultaneously. I can do one side or the other, but not both. Is this normal and I simply making a mistake somewhere, or is it a manufacturing or packaging error?

I’m sorry you are having this problem. If it were my ship, I would take the deck off and lightly steam the piece and then place it flat under something very heavy for a day or two.

Love it. Good job.

Welcome to community @Joe-Snoddy . Great job

Can you take a few more angles? This is how mine looks. Mine is pretty level. You can always ask @CustomerService for a possible replacement piece.

Welcome to the community, @Joe-Snoddy.

I agree with both Nita and Jeanne. Steaming it gently and pressing it flat could help, and if it still doesn’t sit right, reaching out to @CustomerService for a replacement piece is a good option. Hopefully it’s an easy fix!

In the same position as you showed your ship in the photo, mine looks like this:

From this angle it is hard to see if you mounted it wrong. Hope @CustomerService can help you.

As I can see in the other photos, there’s a railing on top. Will it be attached to the wood beneath this plate? Perhaps the railing will keep the wood straight.
