@Tanja_Ferro Welcome to the club! 10 kits already, wow. You’re an expert already!
@mandy.c Welcome Maranda! I’m so happy to hear that your first kit kind of helped you through struggling times. That’s a great list of first kits you’ve built! Looking forward to seeing your creations
@Jill Welcome from the other corner of the world (I’m from Spain, so… yeah, quite literally ). That’s a pretty decent amount of kits you’ve already built! Willing to share which ones?
@Alicesharpe Welcome, welcome! Although I believe we’ve already been talking a bit in your posts. I’m sure you’ll do just fine around here!
@Kheinz hello and welcome! Sounds like a lovely place to live. Do you have a place nearby to buy your kits, or do you usually order them online?
I didn’t have problem when I had built the top of the wheeling chair, not a lot of broken pieces (thanks @Robotime for furnishing us extra pieces in case of need in the wooden plaque ). It looks great but difficult to join the top and the model.
Translation in English (writing or speaking helps me a lot for work ):
I can speak French, English, Spanish (just need to revise ), but German and Dutch, let’s say zero . And my level in Cambodian is so-so: I understand what people say but I don’t speak it very well.
Hi @Marty_Novak, welcome to the @Robotime community. You will find a lot of information about crafting in this forum and help when needed. And, since you are retired, you’ll have plenty of time to chat with all the nice members of the community and build a lot of beautiful wooden models.
Hi Marty, welcome to the community!
Retirement is the perfect time to enjoy hobbies like this~ building these wooden puzzles can be both relaxing and rewarding.
Hope you have lots of fun with your builds, and we look forward to seeing what you create!
because of numerous add’s at facebook, i noticed the Cat Counter Library. Not too expensive and i’m fond of cats. Received it a friday, started after work the same day… And was late at work saturday because… i couldn’t stop and finished it in a few hours. My first became a present. Because i don’t like watching TV and it is winter, i ordered two others in the hope it would take me the evenings of 2 weeks to complete them and avoid being bored.
How little did i know!!
A few months later, i’ve made 10 of those kits.
The most challenging was the little pink TV with its train and Mozart music.
This is addictive!
Quality is awesome, i improved my skills and they make very nice gifts.
I need to save money to buy others to keep me busy during winterevenings.
Nice to see you here too! Ravie de te voir ici aussi!
You’re the one that got me hooked on booknooks in the first place! Never knew what they were untill you shared your first Cat Library and that made me curious.
Now it’s fun to share ideas, new findings, tricks etc, not only you and me, but also in the community. I like the community and the FB page especially for those tips and tricks and I hope you will too.
Hello, I’m Elisia, I’m 19 life is really stressful but being able to make art slows me down. It take patience and that’s exactly what I need to cool down when I fell inundated.
Hi! I’m new to this community. I’ve built around 5 kits so far and love it! I have just attended a Robotime DIY Crafting Club meet up in Auckland, NZ with the lovely Jade as host. What an amazing, fun event. It was so fun to meet other crafters who love miniature kits. Jade set out a great event for us all!
So glad you’re here! Between ROBOTIME, Rolife, and ROKR, the variety is just amazing — mechanical wonders, cozy miniatures, music boxes, and so much more. This community is full of wonderful ideas and people who love every bit of it.
