Aww, thank you so much, but I really don’t consider myself an expert at all. :see_no_evil_monkey: When someone does such a great job like you did, it absolutely deserves to be said. Keep going like this, your builds are a joy to see!

I am thinking of gluing actual shimmers on the cherry blossoms… Its next on my build list! Any other tips for ease of building?

Hurrah! I think you’ll love the end result!

For the glitter, I just used clear Aleene’s and spread it with wild abandon. Then I shook on the blossom glitter, shook off, and repeated. Keep shaking it off and blowing it off until there aren’t any loose sakura - you don’t want too many falling and getting into the cracks!

For the mechanics, I’d say press down really firmly (that seemed to help the wobble of the trolley car) and make sure you test the motor and mechanism often…I kept turning it on to make sure with each new layer that things were turning freely. Instead of the wax included in the kit, I like to use wood lubricant paste. It seems less messy and can get into the cogs and gears more easily to help them glide.

Oh! and you build a little platform in order to get the trolley mechanism spaced correctly. I’m a person who likes to paint all my edges, so I wasted a bunch of time painting that whole pink platform…and the realized it was for template/spacing purposes only and is thrown out in the end! Whoops! If you are an edge-painter too, just keep that in mind!

Enjoy your build!

These are fantastic tips! and yes i paint the edges too! I love how you did your glitters. I was worried about them getting into the mechanism too… I will figure out that part and hopefully it works out :3
