💖 [Rolife - Thanksgiving Event ]JeanneL's Grateful heart

It is very difficult to pin down just one person! There are so many people and things that have shaped me and impacted my life! Soon I will be 68 so that gives me a few years to collect! I will try to keep this simple.
*I am grateful for life! I have had some serious things, unusual, rare things occur throughout the years. I am grateful for the years I have continued to have - every day feels precious!
*I am grateful for my husband who has been through most of this with me. We have had rough times as anyone who is married knows, but he has been there and supported me through all the trials and tribulations. He is my best friend, my partner, my love, the father of my children - and a darn good one at that. He is “Baka” to my grandchildren - also a darn good one. He has been by my side for 47 years total - since the time we met.
*I am thankful for my parents - my Mom who is still with us and will soon be 92. Without her, there would be no me!
*I am thankful for my children who I love more than life itself.
*I am thankful for my 3 grandchildren - you continually bring light into our lives!
*I guess lastly I am thankful for the opportunity to be a nurse and to help bring life into this world and to help keep them alive. Being a nurse was a privilege in so many ways. This includes the chance to teach new nurses and to help them successfully enter this glorious field!

  • And truly I am thankful for all my friends, and this includes those of you here that I have connected with. It is so wonderful to be a part of this group and share the love and passion for this craft. Thanks to Robotime for giving us this opportunity! So with that here are some of the most meaningful kits (although I loved them all)
  • The baking Kitchen for gathering with family and friends - all those I love.
  • Henry’s Chocolate shop is for my husband because he loves his chocolate! Near shakes when he sees it!
  • The cuckoo clock because it reminds me of our German Heritage and our Honeymoon!

This was a beautiful post!:blush: I’m thankful to have women like you in the world, persevering as nurses and helping people through some of the happiest as well as most trying times in their lives. It takes a special type of person to be able to do that.:blush:

Thank you so much for these kind words! Practicing nursing whether at the hospital or in the classroom, brought me such joy. It has been challenging retiring and knowing I am not practicing as a nurse anymore. I have missed it and thought about returning a little. But then I have enjoyed spending time with family and friends, and all of you!

Thank you! Marriage is not easy that is truth. I think we are both stubborn so dont give up easily. Our society is so disposable that when things go wrong, people want to just give up and walk away. You need to stay and fight. Also, dont take things for granted, be kind, choose battles wisely! Sometimes ya have to give in even when you do not really want to.
Both of us have done this! It helps!
