🍀 [Rolife Relaxing Moment] Super satisfying scratch art! (Decompression Crafts)

I used a ruler and a round cup to create the design. Then I alternated between black and color. I am not very good at drawing but geometric patterns are easy for anyone.

I love how it turned out like an optical illusion. It was a pleasant surprise. I didn’t expect a 3D looking image from this design.

Yes, it’s really interesting! The idea behind 2D scratch art is actually pretty simple. It uses visual illusions and special materials so a flat picture can look three-dimensional when you view it from different angles. It’s basically a mix of digital techniques and traditional printing that makes the image look like it has depth.

I saw something sort of similar to this just yesterday and it looks really cool. You start with something like a fish and it has different sections that you peel off and then place the foil on top of it and it only stays in those sections. You can then move to the next section and do a different color of foil. I thought this would be a great gift for kids. Your project looks amazing

You seem very knowledgeable about the subject. Your explanation of the optical illusion is very technical and detailed. Have you received formal training?

I did try foil art one time. The set I had was not the best quality stickers but the foil was fun to play with. I have some foil left in my extra material box incase I want to add sparkle to something.

This looks so cool!:heart_eyes: Ill have to try this pne day!

I think that stuff would be great to add some nice touches on some models. I hope to see some of that in the future

My daughter does this sometimes with pre printed drawings beneath the black that you scratch off

I’ve done those ones too. They are equally satisfying and the results you get look good.
