Here is an update. I have also completed the carnations and the Lilies. I tried to paint when done and I tried to paint pre. Both worked ok but I did need to sand. Sometimes I needed to sand no matter.
For the Lily (bloomed one) I felt like it was going really well until I felt a timy break when inserting into stem. I added a touch of clue to where I thought it may have started. It still wiggles a bit but appears ok.
Finally the parts that are supposed to allow you to rotate the flowers - I think the internal piece broke. They give you an extra but not worth taking apart. I glued that in place as well. No big deal I think.
So here is the picture of the 2. I have the Rose, Chamomile, and the basket I think, left!
The paint you did looks seamless.
I know it is best to paint before you assemble but it is easier for me to visualize what needs paint after it has been assembled.
They’re looking so beautiful! Those little internal pieces can be tricky, but you’re handling everything so well. Good luck with the ones you still have left, the whole set is going to look amazing!
This is looking so beautiful! I’m so glad you decided to give painting a try. I am never against using glue. If it saves me the time of pulling something apart, I am going to do it and it looks flawless. I can’t wait to see this when you are done.
I agree, plus I had to guess and mix some colors to match so it was easier when I had like a whole stem or two. Otherwise I was wasting paint.
Thanks @Wenbare I am not really thrilled with painting as it is not my forte, BUT I am taking my time (something I never do) and enjoying the process. And the flowers are really pretty cool!
I am hoping to get another one or two flowers done tonight but you would be proud as I am taking my time and not rushing!
Thanks!!
I absolutely am. It’s always a bit stressful when you’re painting your first. It will be well worth your tedious efforts.
Aww it’s painted beautifully! ![]()

Beautiful done, I like that you painted the edges too, it makes the flower more realistic
