Will definetely give a try to paint as well my merry go round
Your colors are looking so vibrant. Love this. and I saw your trouble shooting replacement part post. I did not know what you traced and remade with though.
Beautiful! Your color matching is top notch.
I just did a (non-Rolife) kit this last week and there were soooo many edges to paint - like you, I took 2-3 coats on each in order to get full opacity. ![]()
Thank you @SunnyCee
This time, it’s harder to get straight lines. Normally, there’s a small line in the wood that holds the paint back. With this build, it’s pre-set, and there are no lines in the wood. But with a lot of patience, it works.
Thanks for the tip
I was thinking about making the railing white with gold too…if it gets too much, I’ll paint the bottom red if I can still manage it.
Thank you @Jill_Francisco ![]()
I would love to see it
the Merry go around is easier to paint because it isn’t pre-painted
Thank you
I used the back and traced the decoration…it turned out quite well ![]()
I’ve discovered that if I first color the edges with a marker and then apply a single coat of paint, it covers better. Coloring with the marker is much faster.
ahhh that makes some sense now!
My only concern with merry go round is the chair. It was painted in red already
You mean the swing ride? I just left the seats red ![]()
Oooh the colors are awesome! I like the colors!
Colour choices on point!!! I love it
This remind me more of an actual circus, state fair vibes. Can’t wait to see it all come together
Thank you @mchipman ![]()
Thank you @Orangesareus
I think some lighter colours would be more suitable for a circus ![]()
I liked the colors ![]()

Yes. I wanna give those seats a fresh paint. Haha
I just love how vibrant the colours are
I will check back later for progress, I am inspired to get these ride themed kits.
Wow you’re really an expert when it comes to painting.
Great progress so far.
