The Sakura Wine Alley book nook is complete! Took me a little longer than anticipated but what an enjoyable build!
I did paint a little bit, not really changing things too much. I am not thrilled with the white box it is in, lots of white! I was afraid at the point I realized, I could ruin something so white for now.
This one only features my newest kitty, Snowflake (its a girl).
Some tips:
*end of step 1, you make a wine carton. You are only using one of each of C5 and C8. You will need those again for the carton that will be placed on top of this.
*Step 10, I almost missed adding D5. I discovered at the end. I was able to open back and put it on!
*Step 15, that is not electric wire, it is the plain single black found in same bag. 2 lengths. choose longer for initial. You will use shorter one in Step 16.
*I did do some waxing and sanding on some steps. #22 in particular and again in 23. Otherwise I felt like I was forcing.
Other than that, this went really well. There are way more details than you think! It was a great and enjoyable kit to build!
Iit turned out so beautiful!! The details in Sakura Wine Alley are just incredibl. Totally agree, this kit hides way more details than you expect until you’re deep into it. And Snowflake is the perfect little supervisor for the final photos! Amazing job, it looks absolutely stunning, @jeanneL!
Thanks Wendy! I had to go with a girlie name because Kitty looked girlie. Alvin will need to go to my other one. I am going to need to add some color as the other is all white too!
send me an Alvin pic please so I dont mess them up! LOL
