So after much irritation at how plain the lower part of the ribbons looked, I decided to try my hand at painting some metallic gold on them. Took a long time, and it isn’t perfect, but I really like the effect. It’s really hard to make acrylic paint look smooth, but I’m happy with it. ![]()
I think it worked out. The ribbon has good depth. It’s coming along!
Yours turned out way better than mine! I only did the tails too. I think because I had glitter spray in, it made it challenging. Good job Tina!
I love what you have done here. I will definitely be doing mine like this!
It was totally worth it. The gold detail looks beautiful and adds so much elegance to the wreath!
You paint well. Thank for share. It look more vibrant.
Thank you everyone!

It’s looking very nice. Great job. I really like it.
Wow that turned out really pretty! ![]()
You did an amazing job it really does add more dept and character to it. I assume you did it with a brush that’s so impressive! ![]()
Really nicely done
the lines are very straight. If you want to make the paint easier to spread, you can dampen your brush slightly with a sponge. Because the paint will become a bit thinner, it may not cover as well.
love the details, i gotta get my gold paint, thats a great idea!
