📖 [Rolife Journey] Progress #2 - Street Scene

I spent a good chunk of the day getting more of this build done. One of my favorite things about building is seeing it come together little by little. Sometimes I wonder how certain items will become part of the build…and then the moment it becomes clear is so exciting!
Today I was able to build both sides. I have been painting the edges but haven’t felt
The need to make any big changes. I love this kit the way it is. Everything has been fitting together nicely and everything is great quality.
I’m really loving using my light box for pictures. It makes a huge difference with helping the build to “pop”.

Wow, the top part is so chaotic, it’s confusing me, haha.

I hope I see it finished so I can understand it.

@Sasa when it’s finished, the stairs will look like they lead to a subway entrance. I just took the picture from the top to show everything.

Hi Tina, I also love the part when pieces became one and they are a perfect fit. It’s so rewarding while building.

I was super curious about this book nook as I had never seen it put back together. And I think it’s adorable. Especially the mini train station on the side. Sadly when putet beetween the books will not be seen well byt maybe as a bookend could work well.

Great progres and thank you for sharing

It really does have so much more depth to it than I first thought.
Your light box is a game changer. It makes it so much easier to take photos without having things in the background and allows you to focus just on the build. Definitely a good investment.

Thank you @aga2713 ! I agree that it needs to be on the end of a shelf so that it can be seen.

This is going to be so cool when done. Yes! I love your picture “box”. Me? I just throw a white towel on the couch and call it good…LOL! Your pics turn out amazing!

Thank you @joy.licerio ! I won’t get to do a lot on it tomorrow because I have a meetup, but hoping to finish it by end of the day Friday. :slightly_smiling_face:

so amazing, this kit is colorful

No wonder I cannot guess before which kit the train track came from haha! It was because it’s placed underground. :sob: Ah, the mystery is solved! 🕵🏻‍♂

It’s so true about that “Aha!” moment when a random piece of wood suddenly turns into a bridge or a balcony. I love that you’re keeping the original colors too! Sometimes the design is just perfect exactly as it is. Great progress! :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

This is looking so nice. It’s going to look amazing.

So that’s where those railways were going!

Thanks for sharing! Nice update so far.

OK funny thing, I for some reason thought the stairs went down, not up. I think I had the subway type setup in my mind. This is the first time I see it went up.

It’s coming together so nicely. And I agree with your pictures - you can see details more clearly. You are slowly convincing me to buy a light box

Wow, this really is getting to be super interesting. I can’t wait to see it finished.
