Today i cut out the posters i made for the frames, but the 2 smaller ones are a little to big for the frame so i need to print them again.
I sanded the couch and used a acrylic marker to make it black. Not sure yet if it needs another coat or that I’m gonna leave it as is. What would you do?
I also used a marker to paint the door. Also not sure but i think im gonna leave it like this and weather it a bit more.
The couch looks like weathered leather. I may wait and see. Sometimes adding another coat works and sometimes it peels off what is there. One thing to think about is how much will show. After all that work, not much is really seen. I was a little sad as I really liked what I had done!
I agree that the couch looks “used” but if that’s the look you are wanting, I say go with it. As stated by Jeanne, you won’t see much of it easily in the end.
Oh I love the door! The couch is a nice colour I guess another coat will make it look fresher? Right now it just looks like a worn and used couch and to be honest isn’t that bad either. Awesome work either way!
Perhaps a spray paint would work better on the couch! One that’s made for plastic models like the brand Tamiya or something! It would eliminate the strokes of the pen, and then you wouldn’t have to worry about wiping your first coat off while you apply the second coat. A semi-gloss top coat probably wouldn’t look too bad either!
yeah i want the weathered look im going for so im afraid what a extra coat will do. i will test a smal section tomorrow to see what happens before i re colour it. Thanks als to all the other people for giving your opinion about the couch
I love where this is going! The black couch already looks great and gives such a cozy, cabin vibe. Your custom posters are a brilliant touch, even if they need a tiny resize. This A-frame is getting more personality with every update!
I love the customizations you did. The posters are really nice and i love the color of the door. The couch looks used and old, I think it really is a man cave style and it will fit perfectly
