Just finished this new kit! It is one of the most colorful book nooks in my collection!
I didn’t do too much customization one this one as it was already so dynamic - I did add some glitter gel on the butterflies, some clear UV resin on the potion bottles and I couldn’t help but resin the opening doors and title with some vibrant purple iridescent mica mixed into clear resin. I’m super happy with the final product!
I think you’ll love it! It’s not too expensive to get a basic kit, and there isn’t the odor associated with regular resin. It’s fun, and the possibilities are endless!
Very nice work @NoodleSalad I love sparkle! I thinke it brings out details that much more.
Making resin? isnt that alot of work or is there something different? Please share as I am not an artist so want to be sure I get what you are saying
It’s not too difficult at all - you just apply liquid resin which “domes up” on the wood, or letters, or anything to which you apply it. Then two minutes under a UV lamp and it hardens! You can mix clear resin with glitter, or mica powder, or glow in the dark powder — there are so many possibilities for coloring it or embedding things in it. I’m very much a novice, but I’m having fun experimenting with it!
