📖 [Rolife Journey] Just a simple orange tulip

I wanted to do something easy after finishing up Emily’s flower shop. How hard can a tulip be? I ended up breaking all three parts (A7) of the smaller flower. Super glue to the rescue. I even broke one of those parts twice. There are three of them needed without any spares. It was still a fun build and I’m happy with the results. I painted it with orange sherbet and Spring Green

This is a pretty one. I broke pieces too after thinking I was at it already. Really unexpected. But all went well with superglue.

Crazy how something so simple can just go totally wrong. It probably did not help that there were 2 coats of paint on each side of the petals that had to slide into that part… just something I’ve learned to deal with when painting everything @Tricia12

Beautiful! Such a nice strong orange!

Sounds fiddly, glad it was sorted with super glue and not needing to wait for spare parts!

I know, sometimes I really feel so clumsy with breaking things so frequently! Glad the Kragle (Lego movie reference!) could save the day.

Thanks! @Nectarines . Super glue is the bomb. I’ve never had to wait for a spare part and I’ve done a ton of models

I don’t break parts very often so I was shocked that I broke three pieces each and another one a second time. The paint layers on there don’t help at all when you are trying to fit something into a tiny space @seattleite

I can imagine. I would be stressing about those paint layers too!

I’ve done over 90 models and most of them are painted so I know to expect this and sometimes it comes back to bite me in the butt…lol! @seattleite

Thank you very much @Tricia12 . I never need the colors to match perfectly because I paint every single piece and I can also change them up

Those are those flexible parts right? I had a few of those for guitar and I had for another kit, maybe cuckoo clock, dont recall.
Well it turned out beautiful either way!

Definitely love the stem and the vase - it’s much more vibrant!

@jeanneL I did not break any flexible parts. These are parts that the flexible Parts go inside of.

Thank you so much for noticing. It’s the little things that mean a lot to me @JDisaduck

ahhh ok. I just know those guitar parts were a little scary to work with. I have never done the flowers yet, but will be so good to know these things!
