I won this in the Robotime 2026 New Year Giveaway and I received it today - I couldn’t put it down! (Stayed up way past my bedtime)

This is my first wind-up music box and it’s absolutely wonderful! It looks like it’s the second in the series and I would love to find the first one.

Fun tip: If you didn’t know, your iPhone has a built-in Translate app that’s super handy for kits with instructions in other languages. It made following along easy, though the instructions are mostly pictures anyway!

I decided that since this one was special, I would paint all the edges, which added some time, but I think it turned out great.

It’s called Translate.

once you have the app open then you can either just hover over something and let it translate or I like taking a picture in the app and that way I can zoom in if I can’t read the text. I saved a picture in case someone asked this it looks like this.

So, there is a Chinese seller called “Beauty Corner” that has a bunch of similar Rolife music boxes. Including the older series you were ansking about. Many of their items will also be written in the Chinese language. Also their website is written in Chinese but you can click on the orb at the bottom of the page with the American flag and it will translate the site into English. Everything is marked at full price. It’s not a place to find a bargain but their shipping is reasonable.

I’ve purchased some kits from them that are not available in my country.

Im building a kit with Chinese instructions and indeed use google lens to translate. Works great.
