📖 [Rolife Journey] Bookstore Book Nook Complete Project 27 and A Lesson in Double Checking

Just completed the Bookstore Book Nook - my 27th project! This build taught me a valuable lesson about checking all my pieces before finalizing assembly.
I got all the way to the end and realized I had one piece left over. It took about 15 minutes to figure out where it went - the top of a bookshelf, of course! Trying to retrofit it meant breaking three different pieces that I had to carefully repair. Not my smoothest build, but a good learning experience!
Despite the repair work, I really enjoyed this kit. The assembly goes together well if you don’t miss pieces like I did! I love all the little books and intricate details. I’m also finding that I really like the long, narrow format of these book nooks - they’re going to look fantastic on my mantle once I clear some space for them.

Oh no! I am so glad you figured it out. I found a missing piece of my fireplace after completing a book nook…but I decided early on that it wasn’t visible so I just left it as is.

I did the same with the wine alley. I always check my boards and sure enough found a piece that went all the way in the back. I was able to remove back panel and place it. Pheeewww. I lucked out that time. Glad you were able to make it work out!

I think you did an amazing job! And no need to worry about missing peace, as everyone has this case once or twice. Still your booknook looks fab :hand_with_index_finger_and_thumb_crossed:t3:

I have this book book in my growing stash. I was drawn to the large red chair. Thanks for the tip on checking as you go.
