Didn’t have time to build over the weekend but I am now tracking along nicely with the little time I have after work and all the life admin waiting for me. :pink_heart:

Becka has arrived on site to make sure the paint job and light fixture are all up to her standards! :bear:

The back wall was really stiff and as usual, required sanding and lots of wiggling to get it into the slots.

Sadly a few of the wooden pieces were pretty badly warped so I had to spend a while wetting them and clamping them super tight to try and flatten them back into shape.

It mostly worked, but not 100%. :melting_face: I probably should’ve left them overnight but I got a little impatient. Warped pieces are so common and I wonder if it’s just the nature of the material.

Progress has been smooth and on track. I’m having such a relaxing time working on this and if all goes well, I should be able to finish everything and open the bakery tomorrow! :front_facing_baby_chick:

Your progress is looking wonderful, and Becka supervising the site made me smile! Even with the warped pieces, you handled everything so well. Iit’s going to be adorable!!!

I have seen people talk about warped pieces but it’s not something I have ever experienced with any of my robotime kits. Hopefully it stays that way for me too :rofl:

I get warped pieces quite often :smiling_face_with_tear: more often the older kits but I’ve had one with a book nook too. And it can be a challenge and annoying to fix.

Hahhhaa nah not painting this one. It’s really nicely coloured and I will need to mentally prepare/ pre-plan before customising. :laughing:
