Rolife Hot Air Balloon

Growing up I was always fascinated by the book Around the World in 80 Days and watched 1956 version of the movie dozens of times. When I saw the Hot Air Balloon I could only think about the movie so I wanted to try to stick as close to a similar color scheme as I could.

I wanted to do a bit more with the kit so I picked up a flame kit from Even Designs.

:scream: I love it!! And I love where you got your inspiration. It’s the best choice because it means something to you. Every time you see it, you will think of the story that continues to inspire you.

I can see that a lot of care went into building this.

I actually put the movie on to watch while I was building. I still love it, but no way in the world it would be made the same way today.

I think it doesn’t really it matter how other people associate it when you are making things for your own enjoyment. Only thing that matters is what it means to you.

Makes you wonder how much they could or would change it! Filmography has certainly changed in our lifetime. I still remeber how amazed we were with the first star wars and Indiana Jones
