🥰 [Rolife - Happiness] New model of Rolife to celebrate Lunar New Year 2026

A friend introduced me to a new model that’s coming soon. It’s a model made to celebrate the New Year. As an Asian person, Lunar New Year is a very meaningful holiday for me.
Thanks to @Robotime /Rolife for creating models that celebrate national holidays. It’s absolutely amazing!

Wow this is a beautiful kit :star_struck: can you tell me more about luna new year? What traditions or rituals do you do on this day?

Lunar New Year, also known as Tet in Vietnam (my homeland), Chinese New Year, or Spring Festival, is one of the most important and joyful festivals in many Asian cultures. It typically lasts for several days. The most joyful time is the period leading up to Tet, when everyone is busy preparing for the festivities, arranging fruits, displaying flowers, preparing food, and decorating their homes.

It marks the beginning of a new year based on the lunar calendar, usually falling between the end of January and mid-February. Each year is associated with one of the 12 zodiac animals, symbolizing different characteristics and fortunes. 2025 is the year of the snake, and 2026 is the year of the horse.

Lunar New Year is about new beginnings, family reunions, and good fortune. People believe that how the new year begins will influence the following months, so everything is done carefully, positively, and with hope.

Families gather together for a reunion meal, offering incense and food to commemorate their ancestors and strengthen family bonds.

Cleaning & Decorating: Houses are cleaned to ward off bad luck and decorated with red, yellow, flowers, and lucky symbols.

Festival Dishes: Each culture has symbolic dishes—such as banh chung and banh tet in Vietnam, ha gao in China, and banh gao in Korea—representing prosperity and unity. We also have other special dishes like braised pork, bitter melon soup, etc.

Red Envelopes: Red envelopes containing money are given to children and elders as a wish for good luck and health.

During these days, people visit temples to pray for peace, give thanks, and receive blessings for the new year. They also see lion dance, believed to ward off evil spirits and welcome happiness. This is a time to forgive, start anew, and enter the new year with optimism.

Thank you so much for the explanation :hugs: It really does sound like a wonderful time with the family. Now I understand the yellow and red flowers you often see. I find it very interesting to read about the traditions celebrated around the world and their meanings.
