What a great gift. It is the same as you’re piano right? Have fun with sinterklaas.
Haha that is true but Sinterklaas is derived from St. Nicholas @Sofie_Vanderbeken ![]()
Yes i can’t wait to make this one and than i will put it behind the magic piano ![]()
Congratulations @Liset . This is a very nice kit.
I admit I pretty much only speak English (a few words in German and Spanish but minimal) But wouldnt this be very close to Santa Klaus?
Aww that’s so sweet of you. She will love it for sure. I also plan to build it one day ![]()
Yes it is
In For example in my country 6th December its called Mikołajki (form name Mikołaj - which is Polish name for Nicolas)
So much to learn! I love all of this culture sharing! It is amazing how much we really have in common. Many similarities!
Thank you @Tricia12 ![]()
Yes, i think he is, but Santa Claus is a bit fatter and have a different hat ![]()
I like to spoil my nephew and niece
i think she will love it.
Do you do something special with the celebration? just like we have a big bag of presents in the Netherlands?
I love hearing about all the traditions in different countries. They’re probably all derived from the same thing, but celebrated differently.
I totally understand.
Hmmm i don’t think so - You know in school children’s have some party; in mall’s we have Santa’s going around giving small gifts, its mostly for children fun. Adult go to work xD
Here in the Netherlands it’s also a party for the children. Here in the Netherlands, it’s also a children’s celebration. Sinterklaas arrived two weeks ago by steamboat. From then on, children can put out their shoes, put a carrot for the horse or a drawing for Sinterklaas inside, sing a song, and when they wake up the next morning, there’s a present or a treat in their shoes. Do they do that in your country too?
Noo that’s so cute we usually have a small gift under the pillow - like tooth fairy without the tooth part ![]()
Hiiii Liset! We’re truly delighted that you enjoy the gift we sent. Your Saint Nicholas and little Pieter creations are absolutely adorable! ![]()
Reading your description, I can almost picture him riding Ozosnel across the rooftops, delivering gifts and sprinkling delicious pepernoten! It really captures the festive spirit. Little Pieten looks super cute too, and having your daughter involved makes the whole scene even more lively and heartwarming.
By the way, your niece’s little dog is incredibly lifelike as well, it looks like your whole family are talented little crafters ![]()
. We can’t wait to see more of your creative projects!
