👍 [Rolife DIY & Creativity] Tiny Personalized Paper Boxes Made Easy

In Elsa’s Tailoring, there are several small paper boxes to assemble. In this kit, they’re very easy to make because the folding lines are already marked, so it’s quite simple to put them together.

But what if they’re not? In some of the older kits, you had to cut out the paper boxes yourself and make the folding lines by hand. That led me to look for ways to make clean folds without tearing the paper or ending up with uneven edges.

:light_bulb: I found that using a ruler and a pointed tool like the one in the photo — pressing lightly to mark the paper without piercing it — works perfectly. It gives the same effect as a crisp, professional fold.

For gluing, I always recommend using a glue stick — the same type kids use at school — since, in my experience, it’s the easiest, most effective, and cleanest option when working with paper .

In some kits, like Silent Corner Study, I even made my own boxes. There are lots of free designs online — just search “miniature boxes” on Google. To get the right size, use a simple ruler to measure the space you need, then design your boxes in an easy-to-use program like Canva. Print them, cut them, and you’re ready to go!

Adding your own custom-made boxes to your kits gives them a personal and creative touch that makes them truly unique.

Using a ruler and a pointed tool to mark the folds is a brilliant way to get those clean, precise edges without damaging the paper. It’s little discoveries like this that make the whole building process so much smoother. Thank you for sharing such a practical and creative idea :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

About the tip you gave us, it’s very cool because it’s the actual technique that graphics designers use to make their models :face_with_hand_over_mouth:

Really, @camila_castro? I thought it was more of a newbie enthusiast comment, since I’m not a designer — I just do what I can haha

Thank you so much!!!

Some of you that maybe scrapbooked in the past, may have a scoring tool. This can be used as well.
If you have a Cricut or something similar might be able to create as well. I have not attempted this yet but I can viualize it as a possibility!

That’s such a great idea! A scoring tool would work perfectly for that, and yes — using a Cricut sounds like it could make the process even easier. I might have to try that next time!

If I figure that out, I will let you know! Jennifer Maker does all kinds of classes for Cricut so I think that would help!
