You did a great job! I have this kit and want to paint it, but I’m a little intimidated! Did the wood pieces break easily after painting?

Yeees with mechanical ones letting it play after you just finished it is like drinking cold water when you wake up parched in the middle of night :sob: (weird analogy but all I could up with to describe it) :sob:

I think you should definitely explore painting it. I paint it using markers and no it does not change the wood structure at all. it is worth trying.

I tend not to wake up in the middle of the night. I just sleep straight through. but yes I get what you mean. the satisfying feeling after completing a kit.

I do know that some wood will swell a bit and some may crack easier. Sometimes you need to look and think maybe I can paint it once built? Sometimes that works best for me.

I forgot to add that sometimes I will need to sand tabs and wax after which helps too if it does swell.
