I’m finishing up my latest project and I have my next one picked out ready to go. It then got me thinking, those of us with a huge backlog, what are the kits you keep postponing? Or you know the ones you planned to start but something else grabbed your attention?
This is a snippet of my ‘too-hard’ basket and they’ve been waiting for years. I’m not sure when I’ll ever get to them.
Awe man! I wish I had that Teddy Rolife kit!! Those kits are super hard to find now, some of the only ones I don’t have! Honestly Emily’s flower shop was in my too hard basket until I finally felt like I had enough experience to do it, now I feel like if I can do that one nicely, than I can do anything!
For me it’s totally a time issue. I love all the kits and all the details, but that means I also have a little pile waiting for the right moment One day I’ll catch up… hopefully! (Or not)
For me, it is the pinball machine. I decided to go wild with glow in the dark paints so it is hard to get these colors to cover properly and trying to figure out a color scheme and what parts will glow has been tough. I’ve had it on the back burner for about 3 months. I only have about 1/4 of it done or less
Omg 100% I wished I had bought all 5 of the Teddy sets! I only have 2 of them HAHAH Emily’s flower shop is a different beast altogether. I think I always reach out for quicker builds these poor things get lost in the corner.
OH WOW that’s a big project. I can’t wait to see it but take your time and do it in between other projects lol.

Oh gee i want carls fruit shop so bad haha please do that one and take tonnes of photos for us!!! You cant really get it that easily anymore but it looks like such a fun kit!!!
Mine on this list would be simons coffee, im going to customise it and they always take so much time, effort, planning, brain power ect that i do tend to put them off a bit. It will probably be a winter project for next year i think.
I’ve putting it off as I think I have to handmake all them fruits they look challenging and kinda fake haha I’ll need to do something to it. It might be a Christmas project and I’ll end up taking a 6 month break lol.
Customising is hard work! I’ve only done it once to a non Rolife coffee shop and all I did was repaint it I am proud of how it turned out so you should definitely do it!
I would have a hard time ignoring Teddys house! I did the Cathys flower house. Yes there were challenges and a share of frustrations. I may have put that one off but that being said, I bought it because of the name. My sisters name was Cathy. I lost her to cancer in 2014. She fought 10 long hard years. Whenever I am doing anything in remembrance of her, I think of how hard she fought and did not give up, and then I forge ahead. Which I did
