Holidays are coming so quickly now… I work in retail and it’s our crazy two weeks leading up to Christmas. So I’ve had to try to get every thing organised and visiting family to exchange gifts this weekend . Took the grandchildren to see Santa last night which was super cute .. My Christmas plan is to try to make sure every customer is happy and as stressful as it can be just keep smiling and getting every one what they need and happy.. I get 3 lovely days of after xmas eve to try to relax enjoy and recharge.. oh and the best bit I have new lots of new kits for xmas from my family .. This is a very busy time for individuals who work in retail. I hope you are able to take breaks sometimes. You don’t want to push yourself too hard.

I always feel really bad for retail workers during the holiday season. I wish you the best. Merry Christmas to you

I spent 15 years in retail prior to going into nursing. This was always a tough time of year. As a manager I woukd work upwards of 80 hours a week. I also remember one Christmas eve, we were trying to close and people would not leave. Once doors were locked, they were banging on them to come in and get just one thing! Retail was exhausting! Take care of yourself during this time and yes keep focusing on the beauty and peace of Christmas!

Yeah it’s tough at Christmas it’s like the shops are never going to open again.. we are open Boxing Day.. But yeah 26 years later still doing it … We do about 72 hours in the 5 days leading up but your so busy it does fly by.. Just tiring but really looking forward to the 3 days after.. Aw thank you . Not to bad at the moment but the calm before the storm :joy::joy: we will get through it then time off . Then I go away in January for a week with my really close girlfriends to Spain for some lovely relaxing time which will be super lovely .. Last shift today then get to enjoy some time with my family.. To be fair it has been manageable at work not to bad at all. Merry Christmas Eve. Hopefully be back doing my new kits very soon . Hoping Santa brings some nice new ones for me :blush::blush::christmas_tree::christmas_tree::santa_claus:
