When I assembled and tested the track upon which the shuttle would move back and forth, it was a tight fit. While it did move, it was not smooth and took some effort. I waxed all of the edges in the hope that it would help and it seemed to. However, it now does not move when testing the switches at the later stage of the build. I don’t understand how this is an issue as all of the pieces fit together correctly. Any ideas where I went wrong? Thanks.

Did you also sand before waxing. A tiny wood burr can cause friction.
can you post a video of what is happening, hopefully @CustomerService can then help you with the problem.
Welcome to community. I don’t have this kit so I think your problem is waxing. Have you thoroughly cleaned and polished the gears?
