This is my third gravity swing, after the Stag Beetle it is time for another wooden build, this is how it looks and what is on the box, I will do another video of it working on my Instagram reels
I’m sure my daughter is going to poke me or give me a light slap every time she sees the yellow car (that is like some game with young people, poking someone or light slap someone when seeing a yellow car)

I had a British friend who told me about this game before. I think it’s called the Yellow Cart Game. Back in the old days, people would gently tap their companions when they saw a yellow cart carrying rapeseed. Later, it evolved into the car version we play now. I’m not sure if I remember it correctly.

it’s pretty common, at least here in Spain, or it used to? Not sure about that in the current screens-everywhere era. But during our long drives as kids or teenagers in the back seats, we used to play many games, and one of the most played ones was that one. My shoulders kind of still hurt
@TheToday let’s just say I think there are riding many yellow cars out there, I often get poked from my daughter when we drive to university hospital Ghent for one of her appointments, and I’m always to late poking her first

@Suzanne_Jones i do have more time in the week than on weekends, as the childeren that are still living at home are going to school and my husband is at work, i am a housewive since 23 years as I choose quitting my job when I was pregnant of my oldest son who is now 22 years old, when our second son was born (he is 20 years old now) he was diagnosed as having ASS and a small mental disability, so I never returned to the work floor and we also have a daughter who is 16 years old and having some medical problems since 2 years, so I do have some free time when they are not ad home during the day
Ouuuuu, these builds are super fun! My boyfriend did the fisherman, it broke but I was able to fix it

did the base and the compass today and a part of the swing, my daughter is often saying to me as a joke that I’m an influencer now I post the moving videos on my Instagram. It is kind of nice doing a series even if you do another one in between, basically the base and compass are always the same to start with, so I have the 2 Xmas swing on the way, I think the will be delivered tomorrow or Wednesday, I know it’s not nearly Xmas yet, but I still grabbed them while I could, seems they are out of stock everywhere, so I was lucky still finding them as a duo kit

You certainly have a full and difficult life. I can understand how doing the builds can prove an escape for you. My comment was just a general comment and certainly not aimed at causing upset. I apologise if you felt that you needed to justify anything to me.

That’s a fun tradition you share with your daughter. Here in the Philippines, we slap someone’s head everytime we see a Volkswagen beetle pass by - that was when I was young. Nowadays, we rarely see those cars.
